Friday's Fave Five

Whew,it's been a week here at my house. I am glad it's coming to a close and we get to start anew in a few days. It's time to look back at my week and count my blessings.

  1. Friends... We spent Sunday afternoon with friends who are like family to us. We've known them for years,my husband longer than I have. It was a great time and the boys got to go to the creek for a bit.
  2. Donuts... I love a good donut. I haven't had much sweets lately, but the boys and I found Smore's donuts today in Wal-Mart. Oh they were very good!
  3. Family... The boys and I went to spend the day with my parents yesterday. It was a good visit. My Daddy just wasn't able to do anything. He had an adverse reaction to the medicine they had him on. Please pray for him if you think about it. Tony is his name. He is fighting Lyme Disease.
  4. Slowing down... I have been writing for the last month on my blog almost every day during the week. I was trying to build my blog followers up,but I got to thinking is that really important? No it's not. My children are more important,so I have pulled back. I will post whenever I can or something is laid on my heart. It's been nice to not feel pressured to write everyday.
  5. Exercise... I started doing my in home walking again. I have been walking 5 nights a week, starting out with the 1 mile and have been doing the 2 mile this week. I have switched to doing it at night. It works best. Oh my legs have been feeling it,but I can feel them getting stronger. It'll be worth it!

  1. I hear ya about the blogging. I used to feel the need to write everyday but now I focus on my daughters and my Bible time and write when I feel God wanting me to share something...although I do book reviews when I complete one. I had Lyme disease 10 yrs ago...it is not fun!! Hope your upcoming week is a good one!

    1. Thank you for encouraging me,Faith! It's hard. I love to write, but I will have time for that later. My Daddy has had it since 2007. He was treated for it,but I don't think it ever went away. I'm glad to hear you are over it!

Thank you,Bethany. He really needs it. My Mom does too. She is the main income and the whole thing just stresses her.

  3. You're a wise mama on #4, Heather. I'll be praying for your dad. I know someone here who's being treated for Lyme disease, too.

That exercise sounds good to me. Can't wait for this foot to be healed so I can get the clunky shoe off and do that again! Have a restful weekend, Heather.

    1. It's very hard to pull away, just when I thought I was going to be able to blog a lot. I will still blog, but I am setting some guidelines for myself. Thank you for your prayers,Laura. He really needs them and my Mother too.

I really like the in home walking. It's so convenient to do. I bought a 5 day walk plan DVD by the same lady and start it tomorrow! Oh and I hope you are healing good!

  4. I hope your dad feels better soon. Lyme Disease is no fun.

Your blog is for you to communicate--at your pleasure. You are wise to not let it control you.

Family and friends make any week THE BEST!

  5. You have to live life to blog about life. Your blog might not be here in 10 years but your boys and family sure will. I think you are choosing the best choice, for sure.

Hope your Dad feels better soon and they can get the medication thing fixed up.

I love a good doughnut too. Especially one's involving cinnamon and simple glazes.
