Friday's Fave Five

  1. Quiet times... We have started back to our quiet times. It's so nice. The boys watch something on t.v. or draw while I blog or read. It's nice to get refreshed.
  2. Routine... I just started a new night time routine and it's going great. My boys get wound up about an hour before bed. So I started a quiet time before bed. At 7:30 they get in their beds and draw/color while I do last minute night time things. I has been so great and a lot less chaotic. I'm a sucker for routine.
  3. Reading... I finished 2 books on my Kindle this week. I love to read, but don't get to do it as much as I once did. It felt great to finish these 2 that I have loved reading. Pain Redeemed by Natasha Metzler and Blog Mom by Christin Slade.
  4. Family time... My mom and sis came down yesterday to go out to lunch. It was so nice. We went to our favorite place, Olive Garden. I miss seeing them everyday.
  5. Game night... We are going to game night at our church tonight. It'll be our first to go too. We go to a small church and love fellowshipping with our church family. I'm sure it will be fun!

  1. So nice to read about your boys' night time routine. I used to let my kids stay up a little later if they would read quietly in bed. Reading became a treat for them and something they looked forward to.

  2. Love that night-time routine. Sounds like a great idea to me. I second what Karen said, too. I had the same "reading rule" and they loved it!

Game night sounds like great fun! Hope you have great week ahead, Heather.

  4. I'm a firm believer is some routines for kids. A winding down time before bed is an excellent one. And it's good for Mom too! Maybe you can get some more reading time in yourself during this time. :v)

Family game night at church sounds like lots of fun!
