Do you find yourself like Karen – a woman with a “religion,” but not a “relationship” with Jesus? What does “a relationship” mean to you, and how do you think a heart “delights” in the Lord?
How have you struggled with the lie that “you have to perfect to be loved by God?”
This is the questions Tracy asks us today. I can write a little for now,but will come back for more depth.. My little ones need me,but answer and be blessed!
A relationship. Hmm.. to confide,to serve,to love,to cherish,to be honest. Those are just some of my thoughts on relationship.
And on delighting in the Lord. I used to think when I delighted or followed Him,He would give me my desires. After growing closer to Him I learned my desires changed. They became more like His. Yes, I still had desires of my own, mostly selfish, but I had to die to those. As I heard Beth Moore say once, "When you delight in him, He begins to change your desires to His."

Heather, you said: "After growing closer to Him I learned my desires changed. They became more like His."
ReplyDeleteYES! This IS the key. Our desires become HIS desires for us. Our will aligns with HIS will!
So true!

Oh Heather, I too loved when you wrote that when you grew closer to the Lord, your desires changed to His desires. That is the desire of my heart.
