Thankful Thursday

Iris@Grace Alone is our host for the month of March. She talks about the journey. Has your journey been filled with dark moments and blissful ones? Each are a necessity of God to grow us. I'm thankful for my journey. I haven't had very dark moments, but I have had some dark moments. Close family members passing away, close friends passing away, and on the doorstep of depression. All of those have brought me closer to God and I have learned to love Him in a new way. I've had many blissful moments too. Diving into God's Word, meeting my husband, birthing my boys, and many more. We can't have joy without sorrow. It's a part of life,no matter if you are a follower of Christ or not. I have learned to be thankful for those hard things in life. I love the song Through It All. Through it all I've learned to trust in Jesus I've learned to trust in God. It talks about if it had not been for the trials how would we know how wonderful our Lord really is? It's so true!

I am also thankful for my husband. He's a State Trooper and they have to do yearly Physical Training test. Last year he did okay, but this year he topped out. He has been working for months on things he would have to do. He left early yesterday morning going to Selma,AL to stay the night and take the test this morning. He called just a few minutes ago to let me know he topped out. I'm so proud of his sacrifice he makes for us. He's a wonderful man, whom I love more than words can say.

What are you thankful for? Join us today and be blessed!
