I have been doing a food menu for awhile now. I like it,but at first I wasn't so sure. I have found out how to buy only what I will cook and then some snacks. So it is working out really well. I think I do mine more detailed than any I have seen. I really didn't have anyone's to look at to start. We eat 3 meals a day at home, unless we are visiting family or go out to eat. Who all does a menu for the week? I try to start working on it on Thursday or Friday, but usually it's Saturday before I get started on it. This time I did it on Thursday, which is rare. We eat pretty simple things,so it's not really any recipes. I do a few,but not a lot. I try to do a meat, and 2 sides. I coordinate it with Mike's off days so if I want something he doesn't like I do it for supper the day he is working. I've found it very handy.

I just do one for supper for us. I try to do things that go together some weeks....like when we have spaghetti I cook extra pasta and then use it later in the week in a pasta casserole. It saves time.
ReplyDeletehave a nice week!
