MIA- But I'm alive!

I have been missing in action for quiet some time. We've not been busy with much,I guess I'm just being a Mother and home maker. I miss blogging, but it's not something I can put on top of the list for now. I am able to use the computer more for pictures though. Aaron takes naps in Daniel's room and has been sleeping half of the night in there too with big brother. It feels nice to sort of have our room back. In 8 weeks that will change though. I am 31 weeks and Johnathan will be here soon!

We are all well. We had a terrible virus last week, but recovered finally. The weather is always changing here. Storms, sunny days, cold, hot, and then something different. It's cool right now and that is so odd for May in Southern Alabama,or any Southern states. I love it,so I am not complaining! I am fairly big and really do not like the warmer weather,so cool is fine with me. There were terrible tornadoes last week in north Alabama. It demolished many cities and towns. I can't imagine what they are gong through, but my husband may get to chance to see it first hand. He will more than likely go there with his fellow Troopers for a week. Hopefully, no more will come anytime soon. Prayers for them would be appreciated.

The boys are growing so fast. Daniel is almost 3 1/2 and Aaron is 18 months. It is crazy how fast they grow! They are so cute too. I have lots of pictures to share, but won't be able to share them all. We took a trip to Battleship Park last month and it was so much fun! It still is my favorite family trip! It's only our 2nd,but still.

I am still learning and growing in the Lord. I know I will never stop, but by now you would think I have somethings figured out. Guess not huh? He is always faithful to us and always takes care of us,yet sometimes I want it much quicker than He does. I get discouraged, disappointed, mad,or loose hope. I think to myself why can't I get it? God knows best. He is almighty! He is all knowing!! Then, I think about my kids. How there are certain things they know about me,but still don't believe or their actions don't show it. Funny, how God uses your children to make His point a lot. I am reading the book of Romans right now. I've read it a lot of times, but I don't think you can ever read the Bible or any book in it too much. I know this is a journey and I will have down days, but those are days I cannot forget God is in control.

Alright, here are some pictures!

I love this picture. This was at my parents Tuesday.

A bird nest we found at Mike's parents. Funny they used whatever they could to make it.

It looked like a cocoon, but I am not sure. It looked neat though!

I love my wedding ring and band. My other camera did not take good jewelry photos.

Till death do me part...

Really love this picture.
This was on the Battleship. Aaron loved walking.

This was at the seafood place we had a late lunch. I love this picture.

The baby alligator we got to see while we ate.

Huge Battleship guns.

This ship was huge!

We loved eating here. It was right over the Bay.

The Blackbird decided to watch us eat a sandwich. Great photo too!

The boys looking at the baby alligator,I love this one!

Me and my boys.

Mike and Daniel. They look so small!

Daniel had a blast this day!

Daniel and me,he's so handsome!

Daniel the Sailor.

Aaron and me. He is so cute!

Downtown Mobile buildings.

The big alligator we saw on the Gator Alley trail.

Entrance to the park.

If anyone knows how to make my pictures rotate, please tell me!! :)

Have a blessed one!

A Simple Woman's Day Book

Outside my window... It's overcast, but pretty.
I am thinking... about God's goodness. He always amazes me!
I am thankful for...family. My FIL helped us move our new furniture in last night and my Mother is coming down today to watch the boys while we slip away for a few hours.
From the kitchen... our favorite is in the crock pot. Roast, carrots, and potatoes. It's all ready to dig in and smells SO good!
I am wearing... My night clothes hehe..
I am creating... just picture albums still.
I am going... out on a date this afternoon!!! WOO HOO!!! I love alone time with my hubby!!
I am reading...A Chance To Die by Elisabeth Elliot; it's about Amy Carmichael
I am hoping...it doesn't rain on us while we are out and the boys behave for my Mama.
I am hearing... the boys eating some breakfast and watching a cartoon.
Around the house... I need to store away my old couch pillows and wash lots of laundrey!
One of my favorite things... the time after the kids are in bed. It's so quiet. I can sit on the couch and read or talk to my hubby or watch the news in peace.
A few plans for the rest of the week: not much. I'll be folding clothes and just staying at home with the boys.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Our new couch!! It's leather and it's so comfy!

A Simple Woman's Day Book

Outside my window... It is dreary and no sun in sight!
I am thinking... about our day. Laid back,as I like it. We'll eat lunch, nap, then wait for Daddy to get home.
I am thankful for...good weather conditions down my way. My hubby was put on 12 hour shift today in case of bad ice on roads, but thankfully there was none.
From the kitchen... Brownie aroma fills the air. Baked some brownies, now onto lunch. Grilled chicken, mac&cheese, and green beans.
I am wearing...some lounge pants and a t-shirt. Oh and my glasses for my hubby,he loves them!
I am creating... Aaron's baby album still.
I am going... our for pizza later. The BCS football game comes on and we are cheering Auburn on! Wareagle!
I am reading...A Chance To Die by Elisabeth Elliot; it's about Amy Carmichael
I am hoping...we can find out what the baby is on the 2nd of February! Praying little one cooperates!!
I am hearing...the boys playing and the wind outside.
Around the house... I need to go through bags of maternity clothes and bags of children's clothes. Fun!
One of my favorite things...the winter. I love the crisp, frigid chill of the cold air. Oh and dreary days. I really do! It lets me dream of being in London.
A few plans for the rest of the week: get groceries,go through clothes, and just have fun!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Last year when it snowed. Daniel LOVED it!!

Almost A New Year

I can't believe it is only days away from being 2011. Wow. This year has went by so slow, but at the same time went by so very fast. It was a particularly hard year for me and still has been. It's not been a worse, just hard. A lot of trials and self-discovery. That's why I said hard, not worse. Trials and finding out more about yourself are probably two of the most effective ways God can draw us to Him.

I hope to sit and write down a few goals for the new year. I have done this since 2005 and really enjoy it. I seem so scatter brained with being a young Mother of young children. Most days I just want a bath and to be able to see my floor in the apartment. Tis a season that will pass, more quickly than I realize I think.

I turned 27. My oldest son turned 2. We got a used SUV. We had snow. A dear friend and mentor passed away. I became pregnant again. My youngest turned 1. That's just some of the things that happened this past year. We made mistakes and we conquered new ground. It's all a part of living and learning. We have dreams of moving back "home" near our families, but it has to be part of God's will for us. It would truly be a miracle if this happened for us. We shall see what God has in store for us in the near future.

Some of our year in pictures! If I really think about my life,I am blessed. I am blessed more than I think I should be. I have a Savior who still calls to me even when I don't answer. I have a God who sees fit to give me things that I know I do not deserve. I have a husband who is the most amazing man God could have given me. I have 2 beautiful boys that adore me and that I adore. I have another little one on the way to hold, kiss, and sing too. Really....what do I have to complain about? Not a lot compared to what I have not to complain about. Thank You,Lord. Keep me humble. Keep me pure. Keep me focused on You and my blessings. In Jesus Name,Amen!

A Simple Woman's Day Book

Outside my window... It's pretty windy and rainy out! We have been under tornado warnings all night!
I am thinking...about Christmas and Advent. It is my first year for Advent or the Jesse Tree. We are enjoying them both! I love this time of the year!
I am thankful for...my home. So many without a home, warm bed,and a hot bath. I am grateful for my humble home.
From the kitchen... I have not been up to cooking much, blah! The site or smell of food makes me gag! So it's been take out or fast food. I know sad!
I am wearing...some pj pants and a tank top.
I am creating... a Jesse Tree with Daniel.
I am going... to decorate the house some more later this week!
I am reading...the Voice of the Martyr's magazine
I am hoping...today is relaxing and involves no sickness
I am hearing...Daniel talking to Aaron; the wind and the rain making a ruckus outside!
Around the house...the table needs to be cleared off,the floor needs vacuuming, and clothes need to be washed.
One of my favorite things...Christmas. I was pondering whether or not to celebrate it since it's not on the original birthday of Jesus, but it is the day we celebrate with family, friends, and the body of Christ.
A few plans for the rest of the week: get groceries, finish some shopping for family, and visit with my sister and her kids.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

It's a picture of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Beauvior. While I sit in my comfy home, there are soldiers dying everyday and they may never get a proper burial.

A Simple Woman's Day Book

Outside my window... The rain is falling and sounds ever so sweet! It's not the thunderstorm rain, just light rain falling. I love it!
I am thinking...about my pregnancy and the end of it. I am so ready to know what we are having and to have that bundle in my arms.
I am thankful for...my health. There are so many that are really sick and I am healthy. Despite some boils I had last week I feel much better.
From the kitchen... We didn't have much for breakfast. :-/ I am cooking lunch soon though. Chicken sandwiches, baked fries, and macaroni & cheese!
I am wearing...some lounge pants and a t-shirt
I am creating... a list of candies I want to do for Christmas.
I am going... out for groceries tomorrow and to do some shopping with my Mama for my hubby.
I am reading...The Dream Giver by Bruce Wilkinson still
I am hoping...the blah goes away soon from the 1st trimester; that today we can relax and play.
I am hearing...nothing,but the rain falling. :)
Around the house...I need to go through maternity clothes and figure out what I can wear and the floors need to be vacuumed.
One of my favorite things...food. ;-) We had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches this morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week: get groceries, shop, and hopefully get some family portraits doen.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

God's promises are true!!

I am hearing...Daniel and Aaron watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on t.v.
Around the house...I am bagging up summer clothes and pulling out winter clothes.
